OTNhub enhancements: New eVisit/OTNinvite and Directory features and will soon end support for Internet Explorer 11 browser
OTN has introduced improvements to the Directory and eVisit to improve the functionalities and quality of information and enhance user experience. Below is an overview of the changes.
New “Suggest an Update” feature in the Directory
The Directory now has a “Suggest an Update” feature which allows users browsing the Directory the ability to provide their suggestions to update contents of a provider or telemedicine site profile:
- After the suggestion is made, a notification will be sent to the profile owner/delegate or site editor (individual who manages the telemedicine site) via email, to review and accept or decline the suggestions.
- There will also be notification within the OTNhub for pending suggestions
- The profile owner or the site editor can see a list of suggestions under the “Suggested Updates” page (accessed from the top right corner drop down, under “Manage Directory Profile”).
New eVisit/OTNinvite features/enhancements
- The patient handout and cancellation email is now available in French; a “voir en Français” URL will display in the top right corner and when clicked will display the appointment details in French.
- A patient technical eligibility checklist is now available and can be accessed from the OTNinvite “Connect to” window.
- When scheduling a non-clinical eVisit, OTN members and their delegates can include up to 19 guests.
- When scheduling an eVisit for a delegator, the confirmation window now displays the Administrative Contact (for the host/delegator) with an option to update the information. This information can also be updated in the eVisit details once the event has been created.
- In the eVisit calendar, OTN members and their delegates can now easily see the number of participant(s) who are waiting for their host to join and the number of participant(s) who are currently in an eVisit with their host.
- In the eVisit details, once an eVisit has started, OTN members and their delegates can easily see the status of the event (waiting or connected), the number of participant(s) connected, the time in which the participant recently joined the event, and the participant (log in) name and their role.
Reminder: End of support for Internet Explorer 11 browser
As previously communicated, OTN will be removing support in the coming months, as a result of Adobe no longer updating and distributing Flash, which is required to use Internet Explorer 11 for videoconferencing on the OTNhub. All members are advised to download and use Chrome as soon as possible to access OTNhub (including videoconferencing, the directory, scheduling, and eConsult) and ensure that their experience continues to be fully supported.
