OTN introduces "Guidelines for Telemedicine Scheduling & Patient Care Coordination"

OTN is pleased to introduce "Guidelines for Telemedicine Scheduling & Patient Care Coordination" to better support the clinical scheduling of telemedicine appointments. These guidelines outline the roles and responsibilities of all telemedicine participants during the scheduling process to streamline co-ordination between patients and providers. They also represent the most direct way of scheduling across Ontario, while safeguarding patient privacy through the use of our private and secure network. We encourage all OTN members to follow these guidelines as a best practice and to adopt online scheduling through OTN’s Ncompass tool.

Based on customer feedback, we recently enhanced Ncompass with new features to ultimately make it easier to collaborate and co-ordinate appointments online, provide real-time responses to appointment scheduling and confirmations and reduce the need to fax.  This is the first of many improvements being made to Ncompass over the next few years. Click here to learn more.

For more information on these new guidelines visit Contact Centre/Schedule page. You can also access Ncompass training material at OTN’s Scheduling Resource Centre.

We’re here to help!

Our Customer Care team is happy to work with you over the next several months to integrate these guidelines into your work.  Should you have any questions about online scheduling, please feel free to contact our Customer Care team between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. at 1-855-654-0888.
